Crazy Bloodbath: Yellowstone Season 5 Ending Has Jamie Actor Preparing For The Worst

Yellowstone star Wes Bentley expects a lot more blood when season 5 returns. The series, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, contains several violent moments, including heated confrontations, brutal attacks, and more. Bentley portrays Jamie Dutton, the adopted son of John (Kevin Coster), and a character familiar with such actions, having committed murder earlier in the show’s run. He also maintains a hostile relationship with Beth (Kelly Reilly), which could result in a significant death later on, though when Yellowstone season 5 premiered its first few episodes, he seemed more focused on impeaching his father.

During an interview with TVLine conducted well ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Bentley discussed the more restrained first half of Yellowstone season 5. He also revealed that a violent ending, featuring “some crazy bloodbath,” may be on the way for part 2. Read Bentley’s comments regarding Yellowstone season 5 part 2 below:

The potential is there. We’ve seen what this show can be and how violent this world can be. I thought it was really amazing to see the restraint [in the first half of] this season from the violence. It was a different kind of intensity than we’ve had in previous seasons. Maybe that’s a build-up for some crazy bloodbath at the end, or maybe that tension continues until it explodes in some more compact way.

How Violent Will Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Be?

Yellowstone is full of intense moments, including the sudden loss of Lee and the gruesome office ambush that resulted in Jason’s death. Despite the relatively restrained season 5, part 1, audiences still witnessed a bloody altercation between Beth and Summer Higgins (Piper Perabo). Jamie, also capable of getting his hands dirty, murdered the reporter Sarah (Michaela Conlin) in season 2. Because of all this, it’s hard to imagine that Yellowstone would not feature any more shocking violence before its upcoming series finale.

One of the biggest questions surrounding Yellowstone season 5, part 2 has to do with the fates of Jamie and Beth. The siblings have gone after each other before, but with tension building, especially after Beth learned of his son and the action he is taking against John, things may finally come to a head. She warned her brother that a larger fight had begun, though as attorney general, Jamie has power of his own.

While it is unclear what exactly will happen in Yellowstone’s final episodes, there have been numerous theories that they will feature the death of John Dutton. However, given Bentley’s comments about part 2, it seems like there could be a lot of violent surprises ahead. Those eager to see what happens can be sure to tune into Yellowstone when season 5 returns, which won’t be until the end of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
