“‘Three Men and a Baby’ kinda changed my life because all the people who said, ‘Well, we love Magnum but he can’t make it in movies’ could kind of not deny that we did pretty well,” Selleck said in a video. “That movie was the number one movie in the world. And a good movie. And a good comedy. I mean, people don’t realize… comedies, it’s easier to make people laugh when you can make them cry also. It’s easier to make people cry when you can make them laugh also. You have to find the comedy in tragedy and the tragedy in comedy as an actor.”
