Yellowstone star Wendy Moniz confirms that she’s now wrapped filming on season 5, part 2, with a new batch of behind-the-scenes photos. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the hit neo-Western premiered in 2018, quickly becoming one of Paramount Network’s most popular offerings. After a handful of successful seasons, Yellowstone season 5 part 2 is now set to bring the show to a close later this year, though series star Kevin Costner will not be reprising his role as John Dutton.
In a recent post on Instagram, Moniz, who plays Governor Lynelle Perry, reveals that she has now wrapped filming on Yellowstone season 5, part 2.
Moniz’s post includes a handful of behind-the-scenes images from her time on set throughout her duration on the show, including some of the Yellowstone ranch and the various horses used for filming. The actor also includes a heartfelt caption, which is included below:
Series wrap for me on YellowstoneđŹ and been having alllll the feels; sentimental, proud, grateful to name a few.
What a beautiful experience Iâve had here; just incredibly fortunate to have worked with so many talented, dedicated, and kind people since 2017.
I completed my last scene August 1st, then recalled having previously shared a gratitude postâŚlooking back, it was on the SAME DATE two years ago đ¤Ż

Thereâs been a lot to reflect on, because this place, with the exceptional people who make it live and breathe, has often felt like a home away from home over these last 7 yearsđĽš

Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2’s Filming Timeline Explained
How Much Filming Is Left For The Taylor Sheridan Show?
Yellowstone season 5, part 2, has faced a number of obstacles since the release of part 1 in November 2022. While filming on part 2 was expected to get underway in 2023, the onset of the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes pushed writing for the show back considerably. Whether Costner would return as part of the Yellowstone cast was also a major question mark for most of last year after months of reports of behind-the-scenes issues.
Filming for Yellowstone season 5, part 2, finally got underway in May, with Costner then later confirming in July that he would not be returning. Filming, then, has now been ongoing for well over two months. It’s important to note that Moniz’s post is not confirmation that filming has been completed for Yellowstone season 5, part 2, but only that she’s completed her filming as Lynelle.
Yellowstone’s final outing is expected to bow in November and will comprise six episodes in total, suggesting filming for the series as a whole may be nearing completion. It’s likely that the series will wrap at some point this month or in early September, with post-production then getting underway as the premiere date inches closer. Many questions still remain about how Yellowstone will conclude, but more filming wrap posts from the cast could be on the way in the coming weeks.
