Yellowstone is officially coming to an end, with the final ever episodes of Season 5 airing from Monday only on Stan.

Ahead of the highly anticipated finale, Cole Hauser – who plays gun-toting ranchman Rip Wheeler – gave an interesting answer when he was asked point-blank about the fate of his character.

“There are a lot of internet fan theories that things will not end well for Rip. Well …?” the actor was asked in a recent interview with Parade.

He responded: “You’ll have to wait. Listen, Rip does a lot of the killing. I’ll tell you that.”

Hauser also responded to rumours that there could be a spin-off show with Rip and his partner Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly.

“I mean, obviously it would be amazing. There are talks about it, and we’ll see how it shakes out,” he said.

Above all, Hauser is just excited that people will finally get to see how the final episodes pan out.

“I thought it would be one year and done,” he said. “It started out very grassroots because people on the edges of America weren’t aware of it. We’ve created an unbelievable fan base. People just adore the show.”

For the past five season of Yellowstone, Cole reprised his role as ranch handler Rip Wheeler in the hit-drama series.

The epic Season 5 finale will continue to explore some of Rip’s darkest demons as well as his relationship with his adopted dad, John.

Fans will also see the fate of his relationship with Dutton daughter, Beth.

The first installment of Season 5 saw John Dutton take office as the Governor of Montana, with the Dutton family fighting a war from all sides.

After Kevin Costner confirmed earlier this year that he wouldn’t be returning for the final season, it’s anyone’s guess how the last episodes will play out.
