The upcoming series The Madison has added four new stars to its cast. Previously titled 2024, The Madison is a sequel spinoff series of Yellowstone, taking place after the events of the original series and following a woman who moves to Montana from New York City after two family members die in a plane crash. Since the original series began airing in 2018, Yellowstone has had multiple spinoffs, including 1923 and 1883, and there are a number of other Yellowstone spinoffs announced. Previous reports suggested that Suits star Patrick J. Adams would feature in the series, but until now, only Michelle Pfeiffer has been confirmed to have a role in the series.

As per TVLine, The Madison has cast several of its main cast members. This includes the confirmation of Adams’ role, as well as the casting of Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, and Elle Chapman. Adams will play an investment banker named Russell McInthosh, with Chapman stepping in to play his wife, Paige. She is a self-centered woman who lavishes in her rich lifestyle. Garrett, on the other hand, plays a divorced mother of two named Abigail Reese. Miller plays Abigail’s oldest daughter, Bridgette.

The Madison’s Casting Has Caused Some Confusion
There Have Been Differing Reports On The Sequel

This latest news confirms that Adams will be a star in The Madison after the actor had previously been in talks. The actor is best known for his role in Suits, a show that has surged in popularity over the last year. His addition to the cast could bring in a new audience to 2024. Garrett is best known for her role in The Good Doctor, where she plays Jessica Preston in 19 episodes. Miller began her career as a child actor playing the wordless human character Nova in War for the Planet of the Apes, and Chapman is known for A Man Called Otto and The Girl in the Mirror.

While these casting choices are confirmed, the update on The Madison has still not clarified who will be in the co-lead role in the series opposite Pfeiffer’s lead. In April 2023, it was seemingly confirmed that Matthew McConaughey would catapult into the Yellowstone universe through starring in The Madison, which was called 2024 at the time. After the initial report, there were months of follow-up reports that asserted the actor would be involved, making his involvement seemingly secure. Confusing this casting, however, was the recent announcement that Kurt Russell was in talks for the series.

Even though Russell was said to be in talks, the reports did not clarify whether the actor would be taking over for McConaughey, though it is unlikely that both would have a lead role. This announcement has led to ongoing confusion as to whether McConaughey had dropped out of The Madison, and what was happening with the show’s leading cast. The most recent casting report did not confirm the status of Russell’s rumored role, so the confusion remains until further reporting.
