Actors, directors, fans, family and friends have continued to pay homage to award-winning star Ray Liotta, whose unexpected death last week sent shock waves across the film industry. Before he passed away, the famous actor was planning to get married to his fiancée Jacy Nittolo, who he first met in 2019.

Nittolo led the way with a beautiful tribute to her fallen lover, saying in an Instagram post that ‘he was the most beautiful person inside and out that I’ve ever known… and even that is an understatement.’

Director Martin Scorsese also eulogized Liotta, calling him a ‘uniquely gifted’ and ‘courageous’ performer. The pair worked together in what is arguably the actor’s greatest ever performance – in the 1990 biographical crime drama film, Goodfellas.

Apart from that smash hit, Liotta also leaves a legacy of an impressive portfolio of many other great movies, including Field of Dreams, Wild Hogs and Hannibal, among others. He will also be remembered as a straight shooter who meant what he said and said what he meant.
A perfect example of that was on 2017, when he called one legendary star ‘the most overrated actor of the ’80s and the ’90s.’

Ray Liotta Called Clint Eastwood ‘The Most Overrated Actor Of The ’80s And The ’90s’

Ray Liotta was featuring in an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen when the question of the most overrated actor of the ’80s and the ’90s was put to him. Host Andy Cohen also gave the disclaimer that Liotta could not pick himself.

The Goodfellas star barely took time to ponder the question, before naming Unforgiven actor Clint Eastwood as his pick. So unfazed was Liotta with the choice, that when people in the studio started laughing at it, he turned around and retorted, “I don’t give a sh*t!”

Liotta was appearing on Watch What Happens Live alongside Jennifer Lopez, his co-star from the NBC crime drama series, Shades of Blue. Cohen had them playing a game called ‘Plead the Fifth,’ where he would take turns to ask them tough questions about their personal or professional lives.

Liotta was also asked who among all the leading ladies that he had worked with was the worst kisser. Once again, he so nonchalantly revealed his answer: Sigourney Weaver, who he starred alongside in the 2001 romantic crime comedy, Heartbreakers.

Did Ray Liotta Ever Work With Clint Eastwood?

When he met his untimely death on May 26, Ray Liotta was in the Dominican Republic, working on one of a number of movies that he had coming up, which was titled Dangerous Waters.

In November last year, he also finished filming for April 29, 1992, a movie by The Iceman director Ariel Vromen which is currently in post-production. According to IMDb, the picture tells the story of ‘a shopkeeper [who] must save his son from an angry mob during the 1992 L.A. uprising after the Rodney King verdict.’

April 29, 1992 has an impressive cast line-up alongside Liotta, including O’Shea Jackson Jr. and his father, Ice Cube, as well as Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson. Also in the cast in a major role is Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott.

Liotta’s comments on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen were seemingly made in jest, and definitely did not prevent him from working with Scott Eastwood. However, he never got to work on any major projects with Clint Eastwood himself.
