Blue Bloods has eight episodes left to air, but they won’t air throughout June 2024. When will the series return from its break?
We want more Blue Bloods, and we want it now. The bad news is there are no new episodes of the family cop drama coming in June 2024.
That shouldn’t be all that surprising to hear. The broadcast networks don’t put their big TV shows on throughout the summer if they can avoid it. After all, this is when people go away and spend more time outside, so they’re not watching TV live.
Blue Bloods does still have eight episodes left, though. Eyes are on when the episodes will air on CBS. Is this a show that will be held for the midseason?
Blue Bloods will wrap up in 2024
There is some good and bad news for fans of the Tom Selleck drama. Blue Bloods Season 14 will return with new episodes in fall 2024. CBS set the fall schedule, and this drama is still taking its usual Friday night spot in the fall. That’s not too surprising considering the show’s success in the linear ratings.
The bad news is that it means the end arrives sooner. While CBS hasn’t set the premiere dates just yet, we’re expecting sometime at the end of September or start of October for this series. The latest we’re expecting a premiere is Friday, Oct. 4.
With eight episodes to go, it will mean that the series finale will air in December 2024. We can look at the spring schedule CBS announced to know that the plan is to wrap this series up before the end of the year. There will be no new episodes in 2025. SWAT is taking over Blue Bloods’ time slot.
There continues to be a fight to save the series. Fans aren’t ready for it to go, and neither are the stars. It’s always looked like the stars have wanted to get the show to Season 15, and we think that’s what it deserves. After all, the linear ratings are still strong—stronger than some shows that have been renewed! Why isn’t it coming back?
