There will be some interesting guest stars for fans to look forward to in Season 22 of NCIS. One guest star has been confirmed for the new season, and it’s going to be a “fun” one, according to series star Katrina Law.

Per TVLine, Law hinted at a reunion for her Jessica Knight character in NCIS Season 22. One episode of the season will bring back Jessica’s sister, Robin (Lilan Bowden). While specific plot details were not shared, Law teased, “I may have to be protective of people from my sister. It’s going to be fun!”

Robin was previously introduced in Season 20’s Thanksgiving episode, “Turkey Trot.” In the episode, Robin comes to town for the holiday, immediately concerning Jessica. Because of the friction between the siblings, Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) even comes along to keep the peace. The sisters are polar opposites in some ways, with Jessica even noting of her relationship with Robin, “I say red, she says blue.” Meanwhile, it is revealed that Robin’s new fiancé, Charlie (David Blue), has been using her to get closer to Jessica as part of a personal vendetta against the agent.

NCIS Has Started Its 22nd Season

The 22nd season of NCIS premiered on Oct. 14. It’s the latest extension of the hit series, which first debuted as a JAG spinoff in 2003. NCIS has since become a massive franchise that extends beyond the main show, with two spinoffs (NCIS: Los Angels and NCIS: Hawai’i) already completing their runs. The Australian spinoff, NCIS: Sydney, is also moving along, while the new prequel series NCIS: Origins recently debuted. There’s more to come as well with Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo set to return for the Paramount+ spinoff series NCIS: Tony & Ziva.

“It’s an interesting and very complicated start to the season for Knight and for all of the characters,” Law also told Parade about how Season 22 kicked off with Jessica reunting with Gary Cole’s Parker out in California. “When we start the episode, we are four or five months into it, and she’s been at Camp Pendleton with her new REACT job. She’s digging her new job, but her change has caused a chain reaction of changes with the other team members.”

On how Jessica almost died in Season 21, Law added, “Yes, I think it fundamentally changed her. It changed the relationship with her and Parker. The two of them have a bond now that I don’t think she expected to have with him and that plays out really beautifully this entire season. But, I think, again going back to the ‘You know what? Can’t make my dad happy, can’t make Jimmy happy. I almost died, I’m just going to live.’”

New episodes of NCIS debut every Monday on CBS.
