Vogel’s career started to drop drastically after he reached his prime by starring in a few episodes of Michael Landon’s Little House on the Prarie. Vogel and Landon forged a friendship when they worked together in Bonanza.
Vogel was born in Los Angeles on January 17, 1956. He made a very youthful impression in Hollywood as he bagged his first film at the age of 12. He starred as one of Lucille Ball’s brood in the 1968-comedy Yours, Mine and Ours.
He bagged another role the next year in a film titled The Reivers. He portrayed the role of Lucius in the film adaptation of William Faulkner’s novel.
The film won Vogel and his co-star Steve McQueen, a Golden Globe nomination.
After gaining popularity and success in films, Vogel became a household name after appearing on TV in 1970 when he joined the popular show, Bonanza.
The fair-looking and talented Vogel caught the attention of Disney and he was given the lead role in Menace on the Mountain and The Boy from Dead Man’s Bayou in 1970 and 1971, respectively.

When Vogel reached adulthood, he set himself a path away from the limelight. Currently, the once-famous actor lives in Southern California. He is married and is a proud father of two daughters.
Vogel continues to sustain his love for the arts by pursuing directing plays. He also makes frequent appearances during church plays and keeps his love for music alive by playing music with his band.
