Who is in the cast of 1923 Season 2?

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren return as Jacob and Cara Dutton, ancestors of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton III from Yellowstone. Jacob is the brother to Tim McGraw’s James Dutton from Taylor Sheridan’s other Yellowstone prequel series 1883, therefore he is John Dutton III’s great, great, great uncle.

What is Season 2 of 1923 about?

The second season will chronicle the Montana highlands on the brink of war, on top of an already harsh winter season. The Duttons, as seen in the trailer, will have to “defend or die” when their ranch’s plot of land becomes the center of a bitter battle over the state’s shifting borders as politicians and suits gather to start making the land “a playground for the elite.”

Is there a trailer for 1923 Season 2?

Yes. The trailer for Season 2 teases the fate of not only Jacob and Cara Dutton, but of Brandon Sklenar’s Spencer Dutton as men await him back home, knowing his war hero reputation. He’s on his way back to the ranch in Montana after his voyage to Africa in Season 1.

What happened in Season 1 of 1923?

Important points to remember in a Season 1 of 1923 recap are:

Jacob and Cara Dutton are threatened by baron Donald Whitfield (Dalton), who arrived in the finale with a receipt showing he paid off all the property taxes. Whitfield expects Jacob to pay him back by the end of the year or else surrender the ranch.

Elizabeth Strattford (Randolph) had a miscarriage in season 1, and her husband Jack (Darren Mann) did his best to comfort her, but the loss was crushing as Elizabeth questioned her life purpose.

Spencer and Alexandra (Schlaepfer) were journeying home on the HMS Majestic, but an encounter with Alexandra’s jealous ex-fiancé Arthur led to tensions on the ship as Arthur challenged Spencer to a duel by sword. After Arthur pulled a gun in the fight, Spencer pushed him overboard in self defense, killing Arthur. Arthur’s powerful family got Spencer arrested in their search for vengeance. Cara’s letter to Spencer urging him to return home to the ranch in Montana closed out the 1923 Season 1 finale. He was separated from Alexandra despite Jennifer’s testimony clearing his name, and Alexandra promised to reunite with Spencer in Bozeman.

Teonna Rainwater (Nieves) escaped from the sinister boarding school run by Catholic priests who buried a number of Native American children. Lawmen are hot on the trail for Teonna, Pete and Teonna’s father Runs His Horse.
