After the finale of Landman season 1, fans of Taylor Sheridan may be wondering when his next show will be ready to watch, and they won’t have to wait long. All of Taylor Sheridan’s shows have found success, and Landman is no different. Landman’s premiere set streaming records on Paramount+, and it’s far from the first of Sheridan’s shows to do so. It was also able to keep that momentum through the entire season, and the finale of Landman season 1 finished up very strong and set up quite a few new avenues for the show to explore.
After the ending of Landman season 1, fans are likely wondering when they can get more of Tommy Norris’ (Billy Bob Thornton), or at least when they can expect something similar to it. Luckily, Taylor Sheridan has another show in the works already, and it’s less than two months away from its premiere date. While it’s not Landman season 2, Sheridan’s writing style and penchant for big casts and complicated, interconnected drama can definitely scratch the itch Landman’s ending has left.
What The Next Taylor Sheridan Show After Landman Is
The Yellowstone Spinoff 1923 Is Coming Out With A New Season In February
After the finale of Landman season 1, there’s only one month until the next Taylor Sheridan show starts. The Yellowstone spinoff show 1923 was previously renewed for a second season, which is set to debut on February 23. While 1923 season 2 is the next Taylor Sheridan show set to release, the acclaimed writer also has several other projects in the works. In fact, Sheridan has a wealth of upcoming shows and movies on the horizon, and there’s seemingly no end in sight for his original content.
Aside from 1923, Sheridan has two more confirmed Yellowstone spinoff shows in varying stages of development. Both the 6666 spinoff show and a yet-untitled spinoff focusing on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are expected sometime in the near future. Other already-established shows are also confirmed, such as Mayor of Kingstown season 4 and Tulsa King season 3. On top of the ongoing stories Sheridan is telling, he’s also introducing new shows in the form of The Madison and a new movie in the form of Empire of the Summer Moon. The only question left is whether Landman will be one of Sheridan’s many continuing shows.
Is Taylor Sheridan Making Landman Season 2?
Landman Season 2 Isn’t Confirmed, But Its Chances Look Very Promising
While Landman season 2 isn’t officially confirmed yet, there are some very promising signs that Taylor Sheridan will continue his newest show. Demi Moore, who plays Cami Miller, said she expects to be filming Landman season 2 early in 2025 (via Deadline). As she said in May 2024, “I’m excited for us to start the second which will be at the beginning of next year.” While Moore’s comments aren’t an official confirmation, they are a positive sign that points at Landman being renewed. Landman has also broken several streaming records for Paramount+, and it seems very likely that the streamer would want to continue such a successful series.
Taylor Sheridan also has a multi-million dollar deal with Paramount to produce original content for their streaming service, and he’s expected to write several new seasons for Paramount+ every year (via THR). While he certainly has more than a few irons in the fire, Sheridan’s deal with Paramount basically guarantees he’ll as many of his shows to multiple seasons as possible, including Landman. On top of all that, the finale of Landman also set up quite a few new directions for the show to explore and fires for Tommy to put out, which seems to indicate that Landman season 2 is an eventuality more than a possibility.
