Clint Eastwood is perhaps one of the most well-known, respected, talented individuals in Hollywood. Being the mind behind massively successful projects like Million Dollar Baby, The Mule, A Fistful of Dollars, and Unforgiven, he has made a name for himself not only through his acting but also his achievements as a director, making being part of one of his films, a crowning achievement for many actors. With the recent passing of his former mistress, Roxanne Tunis, Eastwood seems more affected than he expected, making him question things about his life that he hadn’t until recently.

Clint Eastwood Is Deeply Effected By The Loss Of His Former Mistress

Clint Eastwood was involved with Roxanne Tunis, who was his first of many extra-marital affairs, when the two were working on the 1959 film, Rawhide. Eastwood was married to his college sweetheart and mother of two of his children, Maggie Johnson. This affair was quite serious for the two as it was the reason for the split between Eastwood and Johnson and lasted more than a few years, which ultimately resulted in a daughter, Kimber Eastwood, together in 1964.

“[Roxanne’s death] was very emotional and more emotional than he ever expected,” the source stated, “Her loss not only gutted him but also made him think more about his mortality, which he never does,”

Having been this close with each other and having a child together, it is only natural that Eastwood was deeply affected by Tunis’s recent passing in June of this year at the age of 93. Sources close to the director have revealed that though it was expected that he would be upset by the news, what was quite unexpected was how shaken Eastwood actually is.

Clint Eastwood Was Effected By Roxanne Tunis’s Death In A Very Unexpected Way

Roxanne Tunis’s passing reminded Clint Eastwood of his own mortality, which is apparently something that is quite unusual for him to do. The source went on to reveal that the 93-year-old direct is full of life and loves living it, not necessarily stopping to remember his own limitations and Tunis’s passing is making him question things that he had never done before.

“Clint loves living life,” the source continued. “He loves being around, but when Roxanne passed, he started feeling things he wasn’t used to. Clint is a storyteller, and that is how he lives his life. With Roxanne’s passing, it really taught Clint many things he never thought were possible.” they went on, “He is now cherishing moments a lot more since her passing,” the source added. “He now knows some things in life can happen that he can’t change but he can certainly learn from them.”

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the source went on to reveal that the director has formed a completely different outlook on life, becoming more focused on the smaller, meaningful moments rather than the bigger picture. He is also cherishing things that he did not previously as well as understanding that though he cannot change it when bad things happen in life around him, he can learn and grow from them.
