Clint Eastwood’S ‘Juror No. 2′ Not Part Of Warner Bros “Oscar Plans” — Might Not Be His “Final” Film

Yesterday, I sent out a few email regarding Clint Eastwood’s “Juror No. 2.” I was wondering what was going on with the film since we haven’t heard anything about it. There’s still no release date.

It turns out that Eastwood’s film is not a priority for Warner Bros, at least in terms of awards. If anything, they greenlit it as a thank you to Eastwood for the decades of classic works he’s given to the studio. However, it will be released this fall.

I’m also hearing that Eastwood won’t be doing much press, if any, for the film. Stars Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette will be doing the brunt of the work in th at regard. Eastwood is 94, and that’s completely understandable.

Now, I have a bit of a scoop for you all. Barring any health issues, this might not actually be Eastwood’s “final” film as has been advertised. A source tells me “Clint’s a workaholic and he’s already looking at scripts for a possible next movie. He had a great time making this one and wants to continue on”

Eastwood’s filmography has been nothing but consistent these last six decades. Some of his very best include “Unforgiven,” “Mystic River,” “Gran Torino,” “Changeling,” “The Outlaw Josey Wales,” “Pale Rider,” “High Plains Drifter,” “A Perfect World” and “Million Dollar Baby.”

His last film was one of the worst offerings of his career, 2021’s “Cry Macho,” but his twilight years have still been, creatively speaking, very fruitful. I’m particularly keen on 2018’s “The Mule,” and 2019’s “Richard Jewell” — both very good.

“Juror No. 2” stars Toni Collette, Nicholas Hoult, Kiefer Sutherland, J.K. Simmons, Zoey Deutch and Chris Messina. The film is “set during a murder trial where one of the jurors slowly realizes he might have killed the victim in a reckless-driving accident and tries to save the defendant without incriminating himself.”
