“American Dreams” actor Will Estes previously dated actress Torrey DeVitto who stars in the medical drama “Chicago Med” (2015). She plays Natalie Manning, a doctor in the ER Pediatrics division.
The 37-year-old has starred in the film “Army Makes Three,” and TV shows “Army Wives,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Pretty Little Liars,” and “One Tree Hill.”
TORREY DEVITTO
DeVitto was born and raised in Huntington, New York, to Mary Devitto and Liberty Devitto. She is from a family of entertainers as her father played the drums for Billy Joel for 28 years.
She inherited love for music from her dad because, at age six, DeVitto began violin lessons and was in the 4th grade when she earned her place as the 4th chair violinist in a New York high school orchestra.
Later, the musician studied dance with the Kings Park Dance Center in New York. After that, she began taking acting classes at Zoe & Company in Orlando, Florida.
DeVitto’s big break came in 1999 when she participated in the Spelling Production “Safe Harbor.” After graduating high school, the producer moved to Los Angeles, where her acting career took off.
In addition, her music journey also flourished, having played the violin with the Tommy Davidson Band in 2002 at the Sunset Room in Hollywood. Her solo performance also earned her a standing ovation.
HER ‘INCREDIBLE’ RELATIONSHIP WITH ESTES
When DeVitto started dating Estes in October 2020, she made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a sweet photo of the pair on her page, writing: “2020 Accessory…Mask on ear so as not to forget it when leaving the house. #wearamask.”
The black-and-white snapshot displayed her then-boyfriend Estes wearing a face mask hanging off his ear as Devitto sweetly pressed her chin against his face.
That same day, the “7th Heaven” star posted a picture of himself and a woman, who appeared to be DeVitto wearing a face mask while they cuddled up together in front of a skyline. “Beautiful skies,” Estes captioned the shot.
In October 2020, his now ex-girlfriend, DeVitto, spoke candidly about their intimate relationship and revealed they both liked to keep certain things about their romance under wraps, saying:
“It’s amazing. We like to keep private about our plans and what we do and stuff. So, I don’t want to speak too much on it, but yeah, it’s pretty incredible.”
THE EXES BONDED OVER PASSION
The former fashion model exclusively told Us Magazine that she and Estes connected over their dedication to activism, such as environmental protection:
“In this day and age, I feel like it’s that same way with my friends. It’s like, with the way the world is going, for me, I don’t think I’d be able to connect with somebody who didn’t have a passion for either giving back or wanting to use their good to help the world in whatever they could,” said DeVitto.
‘MADLY’ IN LOVE WITH DAVID ROSS
Following her split with Estes (which they did not formally announce), DeVitto moved on with Chicago Cubs manager, David Ross. She proclaimed her love for the sports star on her Instagram account in May 2021, writing: “Love him madly.”
The activist posted a black-and-white photo showing her kissing the former baseball catcher and referred to him as her boyfriend in an Instagram comment on a selfie:
“My boyfriend’s team was playing in Cincinnati this weekend! The river walk was beautiful! Loved it!”
ESTES ON WORKING WITH TOM SELLECK
Meanwhile, her former boyfriend Estes enjoys working with one of Hollywood’s legendary stars Tom Selleck on “Blue Bloods.” The 43-year-old has been co-starring alongside Selleck, 76 (who portrays Police Commissioner Frank Reagan) for over ten years.
The onscreen duo plays father and son, and Estes once shared the qualities that make Selleck stand out between his onscreen character and his real-life persona: “It’s funny; Tom isn’t that different than the commissioner. He is so professional. He’s so studied. He knows his character inside and out.”
The TV star continued: “You come on set, and you know you’re working with somebody who’s very well studied and very professional and executes time and time again, every scene. You need to be on your toes when you work with him, which makes it a lot of fun.”
He noted that not only is the “Magnum P.I.” actor in tune with his strong character but that he is also equipped to address every aspect of the show too.
Estes explained that Selleck is well-rounded in that he teaches the rest of the cast to stay ahead of the audience and advises them to avoid being predictable. While at it, Estes revealed that even though Selleck knows he could do more than perform on the show, he prefers keeping it that way.
“He could write, produce, and direct the show but maintains that he just wants to perform as an actor.”
CO-STARRING WITH DONNIE WAHLBERG
During a “Blue Bloods” segment called “Connect Chat feat. Will Estes” in April 2014, the California native was asked what it was like working alongside the multi-talented actor Donnie Wahlberg, 52.
“Donnie Wahlberg is a machine. He’s the engine of the show. He never stops,” said Estes. “From what I understand, Donnie will work a full day and then go home to work on his music projects, he added.”
Estes shared he admired the singer-songwriter’s ability to juggle his acting and music careers: “If I could bottle up the energy that Donnie has, I would do it because he’s the best.”
He further stated that he always looks forward to working with the rapper and that when the show first started, he was excited about shooting scenes with the film producer. Wahlberg plays Danny Reagan in the series, Estes’ brother.
