It’s been just over a month since it was announced that Blue Bloods star Will Hochman had joined the cast of Vought Rising, The Boys prequel series in the works at Prime Video. Now, his co-stars on the hit procedural series are showing him all the love he deserves. Abigail Hawk, who portrays Baker in Blue Bloods, also commented on the post “Yes!!!!!!!” A slew of other celebrities, stars, and fans also celebrated the news with Hochman on his Instagram account, citing his outstanding work in the series as being more than deserving of this big opportunity in Vought Rising. The Boys is set to conclude with Season 5, but the story will continue with Vought Rising and other spin-off shows such as Gen V. Vought Rising is set well before the events of The Boys, and it will see stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash return and reprise their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront. Cash first made her debut as Stormfront in The Boys Season 2, ahead of Ackles’ arrival in The Boys Season 3. Both stars were absent from the series in The Boys Season 4, but the post-credit scene alluded to Soldier Boy coming back to the show in a larger capacity in the fifth and final season. Vought Rising does not yet have an official release date, and it’s unknown at this time when it will begin production.
What Do We Know About ‘The Boys’ Season 5?
The Boys Season 5 is currently in production, and stars like Antony Starr and Jack Quaid have been sharing photos and videos from the set for months now. Prime Video has yet to confirm when The Boys Season 5 will be released, but it’s expected to drop sometime in 2025. While plot specifics about the fifth season are being kept under wraps, all signs point to it being the end of Homelander’s tyrannical reign over Vought and the other supes in the world. Stars have previewed a wild and explosive season bigger in scale than anything The Boys have done before, which would not be a surprise considering the show has consistently one-upped itself since its premiere in 2019.
