Blue Bloods season 14 is taking a break and fans are eager to know when it will return for the second half.
CBS viewers were gutted to learn that the long-running family police drama had been cancelled earlier this year during a round of financial negotiations.
So there aren’t too many episodes left for fans to get excited about but they still have to wait to find out how it ends with a delay before Blue Bloods returns.
When will Blue Bloods season 14 episode 11 air?
Blue Bloods’ season 14, episode 10, its midseason finale, airs on Friday, May 17, on CBS.
After this, there will be an extended break before the drama makes a comeback for the last time.
An official return date has yet to be announced but on Blue Bloods’ IMDb page, season 14, episode 11, is listed for sometime in October 2024.
So it will be around another four months before the show is wrapped up for good.
There has been some confusion, however, caused by Frank Reagan star Tom Selleck following an interview he did with Country Living.
He said that the following eight episodes which will begin to be shown in October actually make up a whole new season.
He commented: “They announced this was gonna be our last season.
“I think CBS will come to their senses. But what people don’t realize is, we’re gonna do a 15th season.
“We’re doing a 10-show season, like all the other shows because of the strike, for the 14th season.”
“And we’ll do eight shows in the fall, the premier of our 15th season.
“My hope is CBS wakes up to the fact that we’re still winning the night on Friday night and performing on Paramount Plus.”
Despite his statement, CBS hasn’t officially labelled these episodes as season 15 so it is still thought that they make up season 14 part two.
But before the break begins, there is still the midseason finale to contend with.
The synopsis for the instalment entitled The Heart of a Saturday Night reads: “Danny and Gormley pursue Gus Vanderlip, an ex-detective determined to uncover how a rapist he caught is free.
“Concurrently, Jamie and Eddie go undercover as their anniversary nears.”
