All good things come to an end, as Blue Bloods fans are coming to realize. The show, which first aired in 2010, has been a mainstay on Friday night television. CBS recently announced that the upcoming season 14 would be the show’s last, much to the disappointment of longtime viewers.
The cast and crew are back on set filming the last season, which will be split into two installments (the first begins on February 16 and the second starts in the fall). Donnie Wahlberg, who stars as Danny Reagan, shared a sentimental photo with his castmates around their Sunday dinner table.
In the sweet shot, Donnie poses with Vanessa Ray (Eddie Jank0), Will Hochman (Joe Hill), Will Estes (Jamie Reagan), Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan), Tom Selleck (Frank Reagan), Len Cariou (Henry Reagan), and Andrew Terraciano (Sean Reagan). Donnie wrote, simply, “Blue Bloods Family. ❤️💙 #family #love”
Fans ran to the comments section to share their feelings on the images and the ending of the show:
- “Everything about this reel gives us the feels. The way you guys are holding each other, the music and your head falling onto grandpas shoulder ❤️ We’ll miss the Reagans”
- “This reel made me feel emotional, going to miss you all. The hug with you and grandpa ❤️😭”
- “Every single week for the last decade my folks and I have watched Blue Bloods together. The show is so much more than a show to me. I can’t wait to see you all back on my screen! 💙💙”
We’re counting down the days until the final episodes air!
