A ‘Yellowstone’-Inspired Kevin Costner Enjoys Family Vacation Amid Contentious Divorce

Despite the exceedingly challenging divorce processes between Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner, the Yellowstone actor still finds time to enjoy his three children. Costner was recently seen exiting a grocery shop in Aspen, Colorado, with Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace Costner, 13. Better still? He was seen with a cowboy hat on.

How John Dutton-like of him! Despite the upheaval in the youngest Costner kids’ lives, all three appeared to be in great spirits as they navigated the store’s parking lot with their famous dad. The trio was previously seen on vacation with their mother in Hawaii, where they were joined by Josh Connor, a businessman who Page Six has described as a “close friend” of both Costner and Baumgartner.

News that Costner and his estranged wife were ending their 18-year marriage broke in May, after Baumgartner filed for divorce. The decision appeared to catch the Horizon director off guard. His representative told TMZ, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

From there, the pair entered a bitter dispute over financial support, with Baumgartner asking for $248,000 per month in child support and Costner’s team rejecting the request. They reached an agreement on July 12 that will require the actor to pay $129,755 per month for their three children. Although Baumgartner had also asked that Costner be required to pay all bills pertaining to their kids’ schooling, healthcare, sports and extracurricular activities, the judge ruled that the co-parents should split those costs evenly.

Both exes have mostly stayed quiet during the divorce proceedings, speaking only through lawyers and court documents. After citing “irreconcilable differences” in her initial filing, Baumgartner attempted to circumnavigate the pair’s prenuptial agreement so that she could continue to live in their home. She was ultimately ordered to leave the property by the end of this month.
