Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone franchise is showing no signs of slowing down. Fans of the television franchise recently received an exciting update on the next series, The Madison, from one of its stars, Amiah Miller.

During an interview with MovieWeb to promote her movie Hold Your Breath, now streaming on Hulu, Miller touched on her starring role in The Madison, the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff that promises to be a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana. “It’s a really special project, and I’m so grateful. It was such a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to work with Taylor Sheridan,” Miller shared. “I met him at the screen test. And you know, I fought for the role, and I booked it, and yeah, it’s going really well.” The actor confirmed that the spinoff had begun production, stating, “And we’re filming right now in Montana, and I had never been there before. It’s so beautiful, and everyone is so lovely… You’re really gonna like the show.”

Miller continued to praise Sheridan, specifically his worth ethic, noting how the Yellowstone creator is constantly juggling multiple projects at once. “[He’s] so talented. He is such a busy man. Like, he will be editing one show and then writing another show, and then at the wrap party. And I’m just like, ‘How are you doing all of this? I don’t understand,'” she revealed. “But yeah, he’s such a force, and I’m so grateful that he believed in me and gave me the part. And he called me himself and offered. He was like, ‘Hey Amiah, it’s Taylor. You want to be in my show?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I sure do, Taylor!'”

Who Else Stars in The Madison?

Michelle Pfeiffer leads the ensemble cast of The Madison as wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn, with Elle Chapman and Beau Garrett playing her two daughters, Paige and Abigail, respectively. Miller will portray Abiggail’s eldest daughter, while Suits alum Patrick J. Adams has been cast as Paige’s husband. The cast also includes Lost alum Matthew Fox as a self-reliant bachelor named Paul.

When The Madison was first announced, it was under the working title 2024. At that time, the spinoff was more closely linked to Yellowstone and was set to continue the story of the Dutton family in the modern day. However, the spinoff has clearly evolved into its own project, and it’s unclear at this time exactly what the connection between The Madison and Yellowstone will be, if any, as no cast members from the latter have been confirmed to appear on the former yet.

As for Yellowstone, after an almost two-year wait, the fan-favorite Paramount Network series is set to return to the small screen next month, albeit without series lead Kevin Costner, who departed the show following behind-the-scenes drama with Sheridan. When fans last tuned in to Yellowstone, Beth and Jamie, the children of Costner’s John Dutton, were plotting for ways to get rid of one another… permanently. The first of Yellowstone’s final six episodes premieres on Paramount Network on Nov. 10, while a release window for The Madison has not yet been announced.
