The perfect Father’s Day gift would be a new episode of Yellowstone (obviously), but it looks like we’re going to have to settle for the next best thing. Paramount Network is not only airing a Yellowstone Season 5 marathon today (July 16), but the network will also broadcast the first two episodes of the Paramount+ drama 1883.
The original plan was for the network to air an 1883 marathon, but Paramount Network pivoted, with episodes of the Yellowstone prequel now airing Sunday nights on the network. If you find yourself not wanting to wait for Episode 3 of 1883 to air on Paramount Network, the entire series is currently streaming on Paramount+. What’s the latest on Yellowstone’s return? Here’s everything we know.
Is Yellowstone on Tonight (July 16)?
Yep, but the episodes aren’t new. Paramount Network is airing a Yellowstone Season 5 marathon from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. The marathon will be followed by the first two episodes of 1883 (8:00-10:35 p.m. ET), with future episodes of the Yellowstone prequel airing Sunday nights on Paramount Network.
When Will Yellowstone Season 5 Return With New Episodes?
The final six episodes of Season 5 were originally penciled in to premiere this summer, but the newest timeline (h/t Deadline) has production resuming in August, with Paramount Network eyeing a November 2023 release date. It’s unclear if the ongoing writers’ strike will impact production since the scripts may have been completed before the work stoppage.
November 2023 is the current plan, but the situation remains in flux.
