Everything Blue Bloods Star Amy Carlson Has Been In Since Linda Reagan’S Tragic Exit

Blue Bloods’ Amy Carlson was behind Linda Reagan for the first seven seasons of the family police drama before her unexpected exit left fans heartbroken.

Danny Reagan’s (played by Donnie Wahlberg) wife Linda had been in the CBS series since the beginning so played a huge role in shaping Blue Bloods.

However, her time was up in the season eight premiere when fans discovered that nurse Linda had died in a helicopter crash off-screen, but Carlson wasn’t simply written out.

The actress had decided on her own accord to leave Blue Bloods once her contract ended, deciding not to renew it so she could work on other projects.

So what has the former Blue Bloods actress been up to since leaving the hit drama behind eight years ago?

After leaving her days as Linda behind, Carlson went on to star in the 2017 comedy-drama film Landline alongside the likes of Desperate Housewives’ Edie Falco and It Ends With Us star Jenny Slate.

The following year, she landed a role as Grace in the film The Bread Factory, Part One, which saw a 40-year-old small independent theater at risk when a bigger “complex” is opened by a celebrity couple down the street.

She starred opposite Buffy the Vampire Slayer star James Marsters as well as Cagney and Lacey actress Tyne Daly.

Some of Carlson’s other roles have also been in The Village, Sunny Daze, Know Fear and Law and Order SVU as acting police chief Tommy McGrath’s (Terry Serpico) wife Katie McGrath in season 25.

Fans may remember seeing Carlson in Netflix’s mystery drama The Society which quickly gained a following by subscribers, despite being canceled after just one season.

Carlson was behind the mom of main characters Allie (Kathryn Newton) and Cassandra Pressman (Rachel Keller) who were left to fend for themselves after all of the adults mysteriously disappeared from the town.

In addition to these, the star has featured in a few shorts but little else is known about what she has been up to after her Blue Bloods departure.

Carlson doesn’t post on social media either about her work, instead sharing snippets from her life with focus on her two children Lyla and Nigel.
