The Cast Had To Keep Everything About Season 5 A Secret
The cast of Yellowstone is almost as excited as the fans are as the fifth and final season approaches. Cast members have been reminiscing about the “fun times” on set and have been opening up about what’s happening behind the scenes on the Paramount show.
Much of the upcoming storyline has been kept under wraps for fans. However, one thing is known. Kevin Costner won’t be returning in the last episodes of the western.
Knowing this, many people have questioned how the story will play out. The actor has played a significant role in the show up until this point. Director Christina Voros opened up about some of the challenges on set in the upcoming episodes.
“On one hand, it was a big family reunion coming back, and on the other it was a new set of challenges,” she said. Then, Kelsey Asbille, who plays Monica Long spoke about the measures they had to take to protect the storyline for the new season.
Jen Landon (Teeter) revealed that the entire cast got redacted scripts. “Basically everything is blacked out, except for your lines,” she explained. They also weren’t permitted to discuss their scenes with other cast members.
Yellowstone Cast Promises ‘Emotional Roller Coaster’
Christina Voros said that the cast’s willingness to abide by these strict rules was a “huge testament to the intrepidness of the crew.” All of them were used to the way things had been done over the last few years.
“I think it kind of just adds to a little bit more of a uniqueness,” Denim Richards (Colby) told People. “The audience this year will really see real reactions, you know, that really were not like rehearsed.”
That said, the cast has continued to hint at how special the final episodes of Yellowstone will be. They’ve stated that there will be a “ton of surprises.” On top of that, cast members have promised that their performances in the last season of the western will be extremely emotional. So, get your tissues ready.
“It’s a visceral, emotional roller coaster with every character across the board,” Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater) said.
Wes Bentley, who plays Jamie Dutton, said that it is going to be “really, really exciting for people.” Viewers have been waiting a very long time to see what’s going to happen.
There’s still a little more than a month until the final episodes of the show air. Yellowstone Season 5 will premiere on Paramount Network on November 10. Previous episodes are available to stream on Paramount+.
