Weeks after it was first announced that he was in talks to join Taylor Sheridan’s hit neo-Western TV franchise, the actor has officially boarded the Michelle Pfeiffer-led Yellowstone spinoff titled The Madison. Plot specifics about the new offshoot are still tightly under wraps, but unlike the majority of expansion shows in the universe, this one takes place in the modern era, which lines up with the flagship’s upcoming end.
Per the report, Adams will play an investment banker named Russell McIntosh. He stars opposite Elle Chapman playing his wife, Paige. It’s uncertain if Russell will have the same smart and wit that Mike has in Suits, but additional information about the character reveals that he essentially just followed a path laid out after him. Being an investment banker, however, is the perfect exit route for him at Pearson, Specter without drawing any attention to his sudden departure from his old workplace.
However, creator Aaron Korsh knows that Suits is at best when Mike and Harvey are on the same side. It’s fun seeing them butt heads, which happens while Mike is an investment banker, but the legal drama has to find a way to reunite them.
