Blue Bloods ending has not been easy for anyone. Not for the fans, and certainly not for the actors who have dedicated a decade and a half of their lives to the show. The actor who best exemplifies this lengthy stint is Andrew Terraciano.
Terraciano, who plays Sean Reagan, was only six years old when Blue Bloods started. He’s lived most of his life as the onscreen son of Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), so it’s been particularly tough for him to part ways with the show.
Andrew Terraciano has spent most of his life on Blue Bloods
The actor reflected on his life-changing experience shortly after Blue Bloods wrapped production. He admitted that it was tough to say goodbye, but wanted to celebrate, rather than lament, the end of an era. “I am so unbelievably grateful to every single person that has guided me and provided me with wisdom and lessons that I will hold with me,” he wrote on Instagram.
Terraciano also noted that he learned several crucial life lessons on the set of the police drama. Ones he won’t soon forget:
“It would be another essay to explain just one of the lessons or inside jokes that we have, I will never forget what I learned on that set in Brooklyn – ‘Run fast, laugh hard, be kind.'”

Terraciano has a familial bond with his co-stars
The sense of familial unity is something that Blue Bloods co-stars like Donnie Wahlberg, Tom Selleck, and Bridget Moynahan have repeatedly mentioned during interviews. The feeling appears to have hit Terraciano as well, despite having significantly less screen time.
The actor, now 21, knows that he participated in something special. “To the cast and crew, tell everyone you can how fantastic this was,” he added. “Because it was fantastic, and consider this a formal thank you to each and every one of you. I look forward to seeing everything you all go out and do.”
The most touching moment of the actor’s post, however, came towards the end. He made reference to his own character, and admitted he was finally ready to part ways with him. “Sean Reagan,” he noted. “I let you go.”
The Blue Bloods finale is really going to bring out the tears.
