Yellowstone Fans Think Jacki Weaver Was Not The Right Choice!
Jacki Weaver is an Australian theatre actress who portrayed the role of Caroline Warner in the iconic series. Caroline Warner is the Chairperson for the board of directors of Market Equities, the company that wants to buy the land from John Dutton.
Weaver is known for her iconic role as Dolores in the 2012 Oscar-winning film Silver Linings Playbook and has quite a fan following. Naturally, Jacki Weaver has also been praised for her acting skills, but fans think that something feels amiss.
Taking to Reddit, a user talked about how the casting of Yellowstone has been immaculate. They continued, claiming that they think the only problem in the entire show was Jacki Weaver’s portrayal of Caroline Warner.
As the discussion continued, fans stated that Jacki Weaver feels like a secondary option and one that Sheridan didn’t have in mind when he was writing the character. Stating that she doesn’t feel like a shrewd executive, fans think that the series missed out on this singular thing.
The series has an intriguing plotline about what will eventually happen to the largest ranch in America, owned by the Duttons. Being the brainchild of Taylor Sheridan, the writer has somewhat of a diabolical approach to his writing. Not many agree with Sheridan’s style, but Yellowstone star Luke Grimes is not one of them.
Taylor Sheridan Knows How It Ends
Well, naturally, most writers have already figured out the ending of their projects before they actually finish (George R. R. Martin, Hajime Isayama, J. R. R. Tolkien), and they usually have figured out the details of their story.
Several other writers figure their way out as they keep writing and Taylor Sheridan might be just one of them. Yellowstone star Luke Grimes revealed in a 2021 interview with Entertainment Weekly that Sheridan is writing the story as he goes along and there has already been talk about his writing style.
He likes us to experience the way the audience experiences it and I think he’s also kind of writing it as it goes as well. I know he knows how this whole thing ends, ‘cause he told me that. But I have no idea what that is.
That certainly helps keep the mystery angle of the series, and keeps the fans guessing as to how it will end. Sheridan’s series has been gaining praise ever since its inception in 2018, and has two prequel series, titled 1883 and 1923.
