The cast have aged, but the show has never gotten old.
Tom Selleck ( Frank Reagan)
Selleck (and his mustache) has been the revered face of Blue Bloods and the head of the Reagan family since the show’s inception, but his true claim to fame will always be Magnum P.I. (1980-1988).
Selleck is often recognized for his guest appearance on Friends as Richard, Monica’s boyfriend. In real life, the actor has been married to Jillie Mack since 1987 and they have a daughter together.
The 79-year-old is not ready to say goodbye to the NYPD series. “I love the role. And it’s not over. I’m not done. And I think there’s a lot of room for the show.”
Selleck plans to continue acting if a project comes along that excites him.
Donnie Wahlberg (Daniel Reagan)
Besides being Mark Wahlberg’s older brother and a member of New Kids on the Block, Donnie Wahlberg has many claims to fame, including horror films like The Sixth Sense (1999) and 3 Saw movies.
Wahlberg has appeared in the 2011 comedy, Zookeeper, and in season 5 of The Masked Singer as Cluedle-Doo (2021).
He is married to Jenny McCarthy since 2014. They have a blended family with their respective sons.
Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan)
Fans will recognize this former model from her role in the iconic Sex and the City ( 1999-2000), as well as Coyote Ugly (2000) and I, Robot (2004).
While on Blue Bloods, she also appeared in the first two John Wick movies (2014 and 2017) and an episode of And Just Like That in 2021.
Moynahan married Andrew Frankel in 2015 and has a son from her previous relationship with Tom Brady.
Will Estes (Jamie Reagan)
Estes, who made his name on American Dreams (2002-2005), had already amassed a diverse list of roles when he joined Blue Bloods in 2010.
Estes recently released a teaser video for Season 14, but fans were more intrigued by his sudden beard and tattoos than the upcoming season.
For now, the 45-year-old continues to keep his love life under wraps, but appears to be single.
Len Cariou (Henry Reagan)
The now 84-year-old Tony Award winner and member of the American Theatre Hall of Fame joined the series to play Frank Reagan’s father, despite being only 5 years older than Selleck.
Cariou ignited his acclaimed career in 1979 when he brought Sweeny Todd to life on Broadway. In addition to playing Henry Reagan on Blue Bloods, he has also appeared in Prisoners (2013), Spotlight (2015), and Bumblebee and Death Wish (2018).
Cariou has been married to writer Heather Summerhayes since 1985.
Sami Gayle (Nicky Reagan-Boyle)
The former Broadway child star joined the cast in 2010 at the age of 14.
Gayle officially ended as a regular on the show in Season 10, as she and her character left to attend Columbia University, where she graduated at the top of her class in 2018. However, Sami returned to the show for the Season 13 grand finale!
Her most recent projects include Candy Jar (2018) and the Broadway musical Bad Cinderella (2023).
Vanessa Ray (Eddie Marie)
Before joining the cop cast in Season 4, Ray appeared on As The World Turns (2006-2010), Suits ( 2011-2012) and Pretty Little Liars (2012-2017).
Ray, whose on-screen romance with Jamie Reagan remains a cherished part of the show, has been married to Landon Beards since 2015. In 2020, she went public with her bipolar diagnosis, admitting she turned to drugs and alcohol to cope.
Ray, 42, plans to stick with Blue Bloods until the end and has not announced any upcoming projects.
Marisa Ramirez (Maria Baez)
Coming from a soap opera background, Ramirez joined Blue Bloods in Season 3. Previously, the child model-turned-actress had appeared on General Hospital ( 2000-2002) and The Young and the Restless (2006-2007).
From 2011 to 2014, she had a role in Body of Proof, and in 2014, she appeared in the action spoof The Extendables.
Ramirez divorced Nathan Lavezoli in 2011 and gave birth to her daughter, Violet Rae, in 2016. Ramirez has kept the identity of Violet’s father a secret.
Jennifer Esposito (Jackie Curatola)
Esposito was diagnosed with celiac disease in Season 3 and was subsequently written out of Blue Bloods. She made a surprise return in Season 13, despite claims that the studio treated her unfairly.
She has appeared in The Affair (2015-2017), The Boys ( 2019-2020), and Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens (2020-present).
Esposito opened Jennifer’s Way Bakery, which serves only celiac-safe food, in 2013 and has published several books about her condition, the most recent in 2017. Esposito was briefly married to actor Bradley Cooper in 2006 and has been with her husband, Jesper Vesterstrøm, since 2020.
Amy Carlson (Linda Reagan)
Carlson was a member of the Blue Bloods cast from the beginning, but left after season 7 to pursue other acting opportunities. She added The Society (2019) and FBI: Most Wanted (2020) to her resume, as well as the short film Know Fear (2021).
Carlson also appeared in Another World (1993-1998) and Third Watch (2000-2003).
The 55-year-old mother of two, who has been married to Syd Butler since 2004, was surprised by her character’s exit from Blue Bloods, saying, “I feel badly that she dies the way she dies.”
Steve Schirripa (Anthony Abetemarco)
After making a name for himself on The Sopranos ( 2000-2007), Schirripa went from playing a mobster to playing a detective on Blue Bloods Season 6. His other roles include Leo in The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008-2013).
Aside from acting, Schirripa has written and published 7 books from 2002 to 2021 and released his line of organic vegan pasta sauces in 2015.
The 66-year-old is currently married to Laura Lemos, whom he married in 1989. They have two daughters together.
