Angelina Jolie is one of the leading actresses in Hollywood, with a variety of roles under her belt. The Salt star isn’t new to sharing intimate scenes with her fellow actors and has always been up for such scenes if the script demands it. Jolie’s films like Original Sin, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and By the Sea have included such scenes.

While such scenes could bring potential discomfort and awkwardness, Jolie has always demonstrated professionalism and dedication to her craft. However, while filming Changeling, her co-star deviated from the script while kissing the actress. Well, the actor’s improvisation received an unexpected response from Jolie.

Renowned Actors Shared Their Experience Kissing Angelina Jolie

In her long career, Angelina Jolie has shared on-screen kisses with several co-stars, each provoking different unique reactions. During the shoot of the movie Alexander, Jolie’s co-star Val Kilmer was so excited to lock lips with her that he mentioned the incident in his book, I’m Your Huckleberry.

“I couldn’t wait to kiss Angie, buy her a Gulfstream jet and have a V+J painted in rainbow glory on the tail,” he wrote in his book. “She had recently adopted her first child, Maddox, and the paparazzi were obsessed with this postmodern Madonna, the perfect picture of unapproachable stardom and impossibly chic maternal instinct.”

While some actors, including James McAvoy, claimed their experience kissing Jolie on-screen was uncomfortable and awkward, others have had only good things to say about their experience. Ethan Hawke, who worked with Jolie in Taking Lives, called it his best on-screen kiss, hinting that he enjoyed the experience.

Why Did Angelina Jolie Slap Her Co-Star

Jolie’s list of on-screen kisses grew longer when she starred in Changeling. However, this kiss was way different from others as it was an improvised scene that surprised the actress. In the Clint Eastwood directorial, Jolie was cast opposite Jason Butler Harner, a stage actor who planned something extra to an already intense scene.

The actor pitched his idea of kissing Jolie to the director to ensure the improvisation would not hamper the scene’s integrity. When the scene occurred, Jolie responded violently but quickly understood Harner’s intentions. Despite Jolie’s reaction, the actors were able to use the intensity of the moment in the film.

“She slapped me and she held me and she hit me and it was great,” Harner told MTV News. “She totally went with it. She’s really smart. She’s beautiful, but she’s really smart, and she’s a great actress.”

Besides, Angelina Jolie has also shared an on-screen kiss with Matt Damon in The Good Shepard. Damon’s close friendship with Brad Pitt, Joile’s partner at the time, raised a lot of eyebrows. Some even speculated that the scene might have affected their friendship.
