While fans are still waiting for Yellowstone season 5 part 2 to be released, they have plenty of time to binge the previous seasons and to theorize about what the upcoming episodes would be about. And as much as the show has to offer, the most intriguing question of all is who will die in the finale? Well, fans have many theories.
5. John Dutton
This is one of the most popular theories in the fandom. In fact, fans have even come up with many possible ways for this to happen. And frankly, it makes sense in the wake of Kevin Costner’s abrupt departure.
While it’s not necessary for his character to die to leave the show, fans still believe it will happen. Since Dutton is an anti-hero, and we all know how these people’s lives end… Yellowstone has a brilliant opportunity to use the famous trope and leave fans satisfied.
4. Walker
Walker is a formerly convicted ranch hand who has dedicated himself to the Yellowstone Ranch. Before that, he worked at the 6666 Ranch and deeply regrets leaving his Texas spot. Many fans think that his story will end in a heartbreaking way, with him dying defending John and Yellowstone before he has a chance to return to 6666.
3. Lloyd Pierce
Lloyd is actually another ranch hand who took on the brand, indicating his commitment to a second chance at life. In the first part of last season, fans finally had a chance to learn more about his past, although it also seems that something bad is waiting for him in the future. Fans believe he may die defending John and the ranch.
2. Jamie Dutton
Well, in the last episode of the first half of season 5 we found out that he is plotting his sister’s death. And the fans think this fact alone is enough to render Jamie no longer welcome in the Yellowstone universe. More dramatically, Jamie’s possible killing of Beth – or the revelation of the monstrous things he did to her – might be enough to have Rip take out the Dutton brother.
1. Summer Higgins
But none of the aforementioned characters are in bigger danger than Higgins. Because she has so little impact on the show’s larger narrative, this makes her a perfect candidate for an eventual untimely death.
Now that she’s serving what’s left of her prison sentence under house arrest at the ranch, it may seem that the purpose of her character’s existence is actually to get between Jamie and Beth in a blood war. And her death (or murder) will do the trick.
