What happened in season 1 of ‘1923’?
The first season of 1923 took us on an intense journey across the globe. Harrison Ford starred as Jacob Dutton alongside Helen Mirren who played his wife, Cara. Jacob and Cara are at the forefront of the Yellowstone ranch in Montana and throughout the season, face countless threats head on—one of the most significant being trespassing ranchers who want a piece of the Yellowstone for themselves.
We also witnessed quite the expedition for Brandon Sklenar’s character of Spencer Dutton, Cara and Jacob’s nephew. A big game hunter in Africa, he falls for a woman named Alexandra, played by Julia Schlaepfer, and their journey back to Montana is anything but simple. Strife within the N ative American community was also a major plot point in the first season, revolving largely around Teonna Rainwater, played by Amina Nieves, who is a young woman displaced at a Native American boarding school led by cruel figures. Life during this era was far from simple, and the second season is sure to deliver even more drama and hardship.
What will season 2 of ‘1923’ be about?
Based on the trailer for season 2, it looks as though Spencer’s story and journey back to Montana to help his family defend their land will be a central plot point. Meanwhile, his wife Alexandra is also embarking on her own journey back to be with her husband. In true Yellowstone universe fashion, more people are after Montana’s beauty, hoping to transform it to utilize for their own gain.
