‘1923’ Season 2 Production Delayed Indefinitely Due To Writers’ Strike

More delays for the Yellowstone universe this time due to the writers’ strike and 1923 is the latest victim. Nobody has shown up to film yet and there is an indefinite delay for the foreseeable future. Season 2 production was supposed to begin this month in Butte, Montana at the Civic Center. There is now a halt on that but Taylor Sheridan is not giving up on one of his greatest shows to date.

This is by no means the end of 1923 but this puts another damper on the year for Yellowstone fans with no definite date for the rest of season 5 of Yellowstone and now 1923 being delayed. There looks to be another strike coming at the end of June so it doesn’t look like things will be wrapping up anytime soon.

Paramount is not the only network going through this. There are going to be many setbacks in many different networks and we all just have to be patient and remember this is for a good cause. Without writers there is no show, there is no story, and there are no fans at the end of the day. Our writers should be paid exactly what they deserve and then some.

1923 season 2 updates: What happens now?

For the time being, we will have to wait to see if Spencer and Alex make it back in time to save Yellowstone and their families’ livelihood as there is no timeline for when 1923 will begin filming. The WGA (Writers Guild of America) is getting worldwide attention by having events that stretch as far as London and Paris. The world is in full support of our writers getting what they deserve.

If we can give actors millions for episodes I think it’s only fair we give our writers a higher wage and anything else they need to feel valued and appreciated. The writers make the stars, without great writing you don’t have that or nominations. It is the backbone of television and film. So while it may be a little frustrating for fans to wait the outcome will be better for everyone in the future. In the meantime don’t hesitate to hop over to Paramount Plus and binge-watch season one. You never know what you’ll miss during rewatches. We will keep you updated on all Yellowstone universe news.
